Education is one of our focus points since the fundation. We believe that there are no more technological bariers for a society powered by renewables, but we are also aware that there is a massive need of education.

Renewable energy introduction course Renewable Energy Introduction Course (REIC) January 2020 The course is meant for those who are interested in getting a basic education within the fields of renewable energy. The REIC lasts one week and takes the participants through the main renewable energy technologies, the history and the social aspects to them related. The participants will get a knowledge on the topic which will be sufficient to understand more complex concepts. The REIC is the first step to achieve a renewable energy education in Folkecenter. Wind energy course - level 1 Wind Energy: Level 1 In preparation The course will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to work in the wind industry. Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of wind technology, equivalent to what provided by the REIC. The course will include theoretical training, practical experience and excursions to relevant installations and it is meant to be the first of three steps to master wind technology. Solar energy course - level 1 Solar Energy: Level 1 In preparation The course will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to work in the solar industry. Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of solar technology, equivalent to what provided by the REIC. The course will include theoretical training, practical experience and excursions to relevant installations and it is meant to be the first of three steps to master solar technology. Wave energy course -level 1 Wave Energy: Level 1 02 - 06 March 2020 The course will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to work in the wave industry. Participants are expected to have a basic knowledge of wave technology, equivalent to what provided by the REIC. The course will include theoretical training, practical experience and excursions to relevant installations and it is meant to be the first of three steps to master wave technology. Build your own Sun generator Workshop Workshop: Build your own Sun Generator 28 October 2019 The workshop runs over two days and it teaches the participants how to build a Sun Generator. The participants will learn the basic theory behind the Sun Generator, how to solder electronic components and they will construct their own unit, which they will be allowed to bring home at the end of the workshop. Build your own transformer workshop Workshop: Build your own transformer When reaching the minumum amount of participants The workshop runs last one day and it teaches the participants how to build a transformer. The participants will learn the basic theory behind transformers, their function and they will construct their own unit, which they will be allowed to bring home at the end of the workshop. Renewable energy introduction course Sun Generator: Instructor 17 - 27 March 2020 The aim of the course is to provide a full understanding of the operating principle of the Sun Generator and to obtain a high level of knowledge on the device which will allow participants to become certified Sun Generator instructors. The title obtained will allow them to run courses on how to construct the Sun Generator, but also to develop their business ideas out of the device. A solid practical and theoretical knowledge on building electronics is required. Alternatively, participants who do not meet the pre-requisites but still want to get certified have the chance to attend the Sun Generator: Preparation course, which will bring them to the needed level of knowledge. Sun generator Preparation course Sun Generator: Preparation Coming soon! The aim of the course is to provide the participants with the necessary knowledge matching the pre-requisites of the Sun Generator Instructor course. LED course LED: More Light to the World! 09 - 15 March 2020 The course will teach participants how to construct an off-grid illumination system based on LED technology. The course will include both theoretical and practical aspects necessary for the realization of the work and it will provide a certificate with which the participants will become LED instructors. The knowledge acquired will allow them to teach the topic to other people, as well as to start small businesses within the field of illumination. Register your interest
